Farzad is studying in elementary school. His father sold their house, furniture and upholstery a few years ago and escaped with the money from those sales. His mother has obtained a divorce in the absence of her husband, and has now moved in with farzad and his daughter to his grandfathers place. This grandfather lives in a very small room which he shares with his wife and two other daughters. Farzad’s mother works as a maid to help provide for their expenses and occasionally works as a tailor. But her income is very minimal and insufficient to pay for their expenses and the family si dealing with very hard conditions.

این پسر در دوره دبستان تحصیل می کند .پدر چند سال پیش همه اثاثیه منزل را فروخت و با پولش متواری شد.مادر چندی بعد به صورت غیابی طلاق گرفت و اکنون فرزاد با خواهر و مادرش به محل مسکونی پدربزرگ که اتاقی کوچک است نقل مکان کرده اند در این اتاق علاوه بر آنان پدربزرگ ،مادر بزرگ و دو خاله نیز زندگی می کنند .مادر برای تامین مخارج زندگی در منازل کار می کند و گاهی نیز ملیله دوزی می کند .ولی در آمد ناچیز مادر کفاف نمی دهد و این خانواده در شرایط بسیار سخت قرار دارند
