Hananeh is a high school student. Her father sold their entire dwelling a few years ago and escaped with the money. Her mother has obtained a divorce in the absence of her husband. Hananeh, her brother, her mother, and grandfather are now living in a small room together. Her grandmother and two aunts also live with them. Her mother works as a maid and tailor, however even this double income is insufficient to pay for their needs and they have to strive in very harsh situations.

این دختر در دوره دبستان تحصیل می کند .پدر چند سال پیش همه اثاثیه منزل را فروخت و با پولش متواری شد.مادر چندی بعد به صورت غیابی طلاق گرفت و اکنون حنانه با برادر و مادرش به محل مسکونی پدربزرگ که اتاقی کوچک است نقل مکان کرده اند در این اتاق علاوه بر آنان پدربزرگ ،مادر بزرگ و دو خاله نیز زندگی می کنند .مادر برای تامین مخارج زندگی در منازل کار می کند و گاهی نیز ملیله دوزی می کند .ولی در آمد ناچیز مادر کفاف نمی دهد و این خانواده در شرایط بسیار سخت قرار دارند.
