Fatima is studying in high school, and she is very responsible. Fatima has a hearing problem. Her mother by borrowing from her brother, managed to operate one of Fatimas ears, but the other ear is still unable to hear, and she has problems in school. فاطیما در دبیرستان درس میخواند و بسیار مسئولیت پذیر است . فاطیما مشکل شنوایی دارد مادر با قرض گرفتن از برادر خود توانسته یکی از گوشهای فاطیما را عمل کند ولی هنوز گوش دیگر قادر به شنیدن نمیباشد و در مدسه مشکل دارد. مادر و پدر او جدا شده اند و مادر با وجود بیماری آسم و تنگی نفس شدید هر روز از 7 صبح تا 7 شب در کارخانه کار می کند و در نبود او فاطیما از خواهر و برادرش مراقبت می کند . آنها مستاجر هستند و تنها درآمدشان کمیته امداد و کار مادر است که فصلی میباشد و همیشگی نیست .
