مهدی در مقطع دبستان تحصیل می کند. او یک برادر دارد و والدین شان هر دو به دلیل بیماری فوت شده اند. هم اکنون سرپرستی مهدی و برادرش را مادربزرگ پدری به عهده دارد. آنها به کمک مردم روستا در منزلی بسیار قدیمی زندگی می کنند که امکانات مناسب زندگی ندارد. برادر و مادربزرگ هردو بیمار و نیازمند داروهای گران قیمت هستند.این خانواده نیاز شدید به حمایت مالی دارند.
